Common Seas - Plastic Clever Schools

Common Seas is a social enterprise tackling the plastic pollution crisis by driving new policy, investing in the circular economy and catalysing a cultural shift in how we make, use and dispose of plastic.

We began working with them in 2020 when they became partners of World Ocean Day for Schools - and in 2021 they reached out to ask if we could help them design & produce their Plastic Clever Schools program, a collaboration between Common Seas & Kids Against Plastic.

We brought in Loz from Fieldwork to join our team and help create a brand identity for the project and then refined the curriculum, created teaching & learning resources for primary schools and media assets for the launch.

As the project has developed, we’ve continued our work with Common Seas to create a secondary school version of the program, as well as working alongside Spindrift for Schools to translate resources into French.
