World Ocean Day for Schools 2022
Impact reports are funny things - so often we get fixated with vanity metrics and find ourselves comparing YouTube likes or website clicks.
This year, at World Ocean Day for Schools we're doing things differently. We know that the numbers matter but we believe the stories matter more.
So we've created an overview of our impact whilst we create a deeper piece of work - a real impact report. One that tells the stories of the kids and the teachers who interacted with us on World Ocean Day.
From the Spanish kids who stood in their local stream and recorded themselves reading out the Our Blue manifesto, to the Slovenian teacher who went above and beyond to make sure her kids had an incredible day celebrating all things blue.
The numbers I'm most proud of ? Not the website reach or the social media stats. But the 32,044 kids who tuned into our live lessons and the 1331 schools across 70 (yep, 70) countries who took the time to identify their local blue space and add it to the map.
The Our Blue campaign was always designed to create legacy - something that reaches far beyond one day on a calendar. It's the beginning of something beautiful that we can grow & evolve with our amazing network of partners, contributors and educators.
